Christmas Tree Puff Pastry with Nutella on pears

A very impressive dessert just in time for Christmas – a Christmas tree made of puff pastry with the addition of Nutella. The base of the Christmas tree is a stuffed pear wrapped in puff pastry, of course spread with Nutella. I recommend the recipe because it is not time consuming and it is quite easy to make. Christmas Trees prepared in this way look just extraordinary.
Ingredients:
- 2 sheets puff pastry
- 5 tablespoons Nutella
- 1 egg – lightly beaten
- 6 large pears
- for pears filling: pieces of dark chocolate, raisins, jam
- powdered sugar for decoration
Recipe:
- Peel the pears and cut each in half, scoop out the inner core,
- Spoon the filling (pieces of dark chocolate, raisins and jam) into the centers of each pear,
- Fold the pears halves again together, stick a few skewer sticks into each pears to avoid opening during baking. The sticks are also needed so that the puff pastry does not slip during baking,
- Spread Nutella on one sheet of pastry, place the second sheet of puff pastry on top,
- Cut out thin long strips from the puff pastry,
- Line the baking tray with parchment paper, set the oven to 200 degrees,
- Put the pears on a baking tray,
- Start wrapping the pear from the bottom, placing the end of the first strip under the pear. Gently wrap each pear with twisted puff pastry strips,
- Brush the Christmas trees with egg and bake for about 20 minutes,
- Decorate with powdered sugar.
