Warming bean soup with bacon and sausage, original recipes for Polish soup.

Ingredients (5l soup):

  • 300g dried beans
  • 200g sausage, thickly sliced
  • 100g bacon, thickly sliced
  • 4 potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 2 carrots, peeled and chopped
  • 1 parsley, peeled and chopped
  • 1 celery, peeled and chopped
  • 2 teaspoon minced garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon of sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 1/3 teaspoon  ground black pepper
  • 3 bay leaves and pinch of allspice
  • 1 tablespoon marjoram

Recipe:

  1. Put beans into a medium bowl and cover them with cold water, leave for minimum 12 hours for soaking,
  2. Place the beans, potatoes, carrots, parsley, celery, garlic, sea salt, sweet paprika, pepper, bay leaf, allspice and marjoram, in a slow cooker,
  3. Fry the sliced sausage and bacon in the pan, and add it to soup,
  4. Cook for minimum 2 hours, or until beans are done,
